Lawnscaping challenge #62: Paper piecing
Hi!
I hope you're enjoying the Summer! I hope the weather is nice where you live and you're spending some great time outside with your loved ones :)
Anyway, for those hours when the temps are too high to go outside, here's another Lawnscaping challenge to bring you some inspiration and invite you to join the fun!
This one is about paper piecing, well, I know I didn't paper pieced a lot on my card and the truth is that I'm not very happy with this one... I tried to use the colors and sketch from Summer Camp Card 2 but it took me a lot of time and I couldn't make what I have in my head, it's a bit frustrating! Does this happen to you sometimes too?
Paper piecing is a fun technique so I hope you join us and play along in this challenge. Our sponsor is Lawn Fawn so you could win a very yummy prize!
Thanks for visiting my blog today, have a wonderful Monday! Hugs!
Supply list:
- Lawn Fawn stamps: Love 'n Breakfast
- American Crafts papers: My Girl 6x6 paper pad
- Versafine Ink: Onyx Black
- White gel pen

Lawnscaping challenge #56: Inspired By
Hi again!
So it's Monday again and another happy Monday because it's Lawnscaping challenge time! Today we are challenging you to create a project inspired by a fellow crafter, a photo, a drawing... Whatever that inspired you, just share it with us in your post!
I made this card inspired by a photo I found on Pinterest. It's more like a CASE, I know :) But I just think that I need to use the cute cakes from Year Three this way!
The hard part for me was that it's a one layer card and I used a bunch of different sets, so it was a bit tricky but I love the final little scene!
Basically I followed the same technique of this video I made for Christmas tags, but I embossed the images instead of using white pigment ink. the fun part is that you can write the recipient's name with a chalk for a nice and personal touch :)
For reference, here's the photo I used from Pinterest, I couldn't ask for permission because the link is broken... If you are the author or know the author of the photo please, send me an e-mail and I'll fix it!
Then, the pop of color that catched my eyes on the Pinterest photo, I made little washi pom-poms, aren't they cute??
Here's a little tutorial on how I made them :)
(Sorry for the quality, it's a pic made with the phone... But I hope it helps)
Hope you like my card and you feel inspired to join us!! I can't wait to see what you create! For more amazing inspiration, go and take a look at the Lawnscaping Challenges blog, this time we have two special guests, Jennifer McGuire and Kari Webster!!
This challenge is sponsored by Lawn Fawn so you could get a stamp set of your choice!
Supply list:
- Lawn Fawn stamps: Year Three, So Much to Say, Here's the Scoop, Love 'n Breakfast, Bake me a Cake
- Versamark ink
- White embossing powder
- ColorBox pigment ink: White Frost
- Washi tape
- Chalkboard paint
This is my second post today, if you want to see the card I made using Critters on the Savanna for Lawn Fawn April Inspiration Week, just scroll down or click HERE. Thanks! :)

Here's a little tutorial on how I made them :)
- Take a piece of washi tape
- Fold it in half
- Cut fringes all along the piece
- Take a glue dot, roll the washi paper piece and stick on it
- Smash it with your finger, and there it is, a little wasi embellishment!

10 minute Craft Dash - Challenge #14
Hi! This is my second post for today (double post two times in a week?! seriously?? lol!) If you want to see my Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week project featuring Home Sweet Home, just scroll down or click HERE.
Lawn Fawn is sponsoring it so I'm joining the fun of 10 minute Craft Dash!! If you don't know about this challenge, visit the blog and read how it works and its rules. Basically, you must finish your card in less than 10 minutes. I'm a SLOW cardmaker so I was afraid of not finishing my card and I didn't join it... until now! And I did it!! I can't believe it, haha :)
For this time, you have to finish your card in less than 10 minutes and use the color combo in the banners. This is my card, for some reason, the ribbon looks very greyish in the pic, but it's green!! The card is pretty simple but with 10 minutes I couldn't think of anything more complicated lol! And I finished it in 08:33:68 to be exact :P
It was super fun and I'm going to join this challenge more often in the future. If you, like me, are afraid because of the time, I have a few tips for you and I know I couldn't do it without them!
- Plan and sketch your card before starting
- Collect all your materials and prepare them on your table, all of them ready to use. For example, your clear stamps ready on your acrylic blocks
- Don't clean anything during the process, do it after your card is finished
- Just before starting, think about the steps you're going to follow, so you won't block when the time is running!
- And finally, think about things that could speed up your process. For example, I placed both dies on my Big Shot at the same time, a little thing that saved me a bit of time :)
Here's a screenshot of my chronometer when I finished my card (Yes I'm super proud hahaha)
Supply list:
- Lawn Fawn stamps: Love 'n Breakfast, So Much to Say
- Amy Tangerine 6x6 paper pad: Yes, please!
- Papertrey Ink oval dies
- Stampin'Up ribbon
- Copics
- Memento ink: Tuxedo Black

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week - Claire's ABCs
Hi again!
Lawn Fawn inspiration week continues and we're featuring an alphabet set today: Claire's ABCs! This is a cute alphabet with a really beautiful bold font. I just love it! :)
My project for today is a recipe book, I was searching for food items in my Lawn Fawn sets and purchased a blank red book, and this is what I made
There are a few sets involved and I stamped the background with the thiniest stamp from "Chevron Backdrops". I had so much fun making this cute recipe book, I hope you like it!
Oh! Karin, thank you very much for the cool die ;)
I really love the caps on this alphabet set!! I used foam dots to create a little more dimension on the title.
Here is a close up:
