Lawnscaping challenge #101: Dots and/or Stripes

Hi and happy Monday!!

I hope your weekend had been a wonderful one! Mine was great and I'm already missing it lol but a new Lawnscaping challenge starts today so our Monday will be much brighter hehe!

This time the challenge is about playing with dots and/or stripes. I used both for my card because these patterns match really well in my opinion :)

I know it's still very soon for Easter and a bit soon for Spring but I really wanted to play with pastel spring-y colors and make a card with this bunny idea that I had a lot of time ago.

happyEaster

I used the bunny from Snow Day and I created a giant carrot with one of the trees from the same set, we don't want a hungry bunny, don't we? Hee hee
I just stamped the tree and draw some lines to simulate the lines of a carrot, then adhered some green twine for the leaves.
I had to use some new stamps too, of course! So I stamped the sentiment from Eggsta Special Easter and one of the frames from Flirty Frames (I know I'm going to use these a LOT).

I hope you like my card and feel inspired to play with us! Don't forget to take a look at the Lawnscaping blog to see the amazing projects using dots and stripes from the other DT girls. I love each one of them!

Fawny Holiday Week: Bag & tag

Hi there!!
I hope you enjoyed Fawny Holiday week. If you missed it, there was a ton of projects to inspire you for the upcoming holiday season and you can check it out on the Lawn Fawn blog.

I have two more projects to share with you that you could already have seen on the Lawn Fawn blog, a snowman treat bag and a tag.

Joy tag

For my tag I used Snow Day papers with Deck the Hall and Scripty Joy, I inked the whole word with Versamark ink and used glitter embossing powder to head emboss and get that amazing shine :)

Joy tag - detail

Following the idea if my Halloween monster bags, I had the idea of making a snowman treat bag. To make the carrot nose I used one of the trees from Snow Day and the glued a pair of buttons as eyes. After sending my pics I realized it could be cut to add a felt or cloth scarf on the bottom. I wish I thought of it earlier!!

Birthday & Thanksgiving Lawn Fawn cards

Hi there!
I hope you're enjoying your Sunday! Here the Sunday is almost over as well as the weekend... sniff! :( But I sure enjoyed it! This Fall looks like summer we're having higher temperatures now than during July and August... And I'm not really happy with that, I love hot Summers and cool and windy with some rainy and some sunny days Falls but we were having more than 25°C during all the week!

Anyway and despite the weather I'm totally in Fall mood, going on walks through the woods with my boyfriend collecting mushrooms and chestnuts and looking for delicious recipes to make with pumpkins :)

And cardmaking, of course! I have some Lawn Fawn cards to share with you today, these were made for last inspiration week but were lost so here they are finally! :)
I know it's early for Thanksgiving but let's be honest you've been seeing here some Christmas cards lately too haha
So here's the card I made featuring Violet's ABCs, super simple but I love the colors!

VioletsABC_CristinaNuñez1

I used the papers from Sweater Weather and one of the new and super lovely notecards, I love them!!

VioletsABC_CristinaNuñez2

My other card features Finely's ABCs dies, well, Finely's 123s :) I made a birthday card using these fun little monsters from Monster Mash.

Finleys123_CristinaNuñez1

The dots on the background were recicled from the die cutting of the numbers, they're the holes from the 8, 9... and some exclamation points I die cut to have all those little dots :)

New coordinating dies - LF October inspiration week

Hi!

It's last day of Lawn Fawn October inspiration week and today we're showcasing all the new dies that coordinate with old sets. I'm super happy that Lawn Fawn is releasing these coordinating dies, they're perfect for speeding up the cardmaking process!

For my first card, I used Critters in the Snow reindeer and I combined it with some stuff from the new release :)
I used embossing paste with a stencil on the background and some red liquid pearls on the reindeer's nose.

Merry and Bright

And of course, I had to use the yeti, he's still one of my favorites and now the die makes everything super easy!!

YetiDies_CristinaNuñez1

I cut the tag using the partial cutting technique to cut it smaller to fin better the sentiment. Then I just stamped it the top first and then, carefully the bottom.

Snow Day collection - LF September inspiration week

Hi there, happy start of the week!!

Welcome to the fourth day of Lawn Fawn September Inspiration week!

Fall is finally here and I love the weather that we're having! Warm with a mix of sun and rain... :) It feels good! But we're moving into Winter and snow now because today we're featuring the new Winter & Christmas paper collection: Snow Day

Yum yum!! I love this collection! The bold colors and the cute elements!! There are tags and journaling cards to cut for your projects, twine, wood veneers, flair... <3

I made a card inspired by a phrase included in the papers, during Winter I always have my hands cold and we use this same phrase also in Spanish so I loved it, and the flair was perfect to showcase it!

Cold hands

Then I wanted to do something different so I used the papers to create a baby card.

Baby twins

Choosing the patterns without snowflakes or christmas references and adding some pink (I love mixing this collection with pink!!) I had the perfect combo for a baby girl card and... what about that cute tag with two bunnies? Well, let's go for a baby twins card hee hee :)

Deck the Halls & Stitched Snowflakes - LF September inspiration week

Hi there!
I hope your weekend is being a great one!! Mine is being busy but at least I could enjoying a great walk into the woods  with my boyfriend in the search for mushrooms and and another fun walk riding our bikes. It's important to enjoy the outdoors before it starts raining ! :)

BTW, welcome to the third day of Lawn Fawn September inspiration week!! Today we're showcasing a medium stamp set + coordinating dies: Deck the Halls and a new (and gorgeous!!) set of stand alone dies: Stitched Snowflakes.

DeckTheHalls_CristinaNuñez1

Deck the Halls is great because you can go with the usual Lawn Fawn cute style but it's perfect if you're looking for a more elegant look for another kind of recipient :)

DeckTheHalls_CristinaNuñez2

I used Snow Day papers combined with glitter gold cardstock and the new Sparkle green twine. My final touch was to add a bit of coppper Stickles on the pine cones. I hope you like it!

I LOVE Stitched Snowflakes! They are all different, al super cute and with a perfect range of sizes! And one of my favorite parts: they are stitched!

StitchedSnowflakes_CristinaNuñez1

I created this soft card by die cutting some snowflakes and then glued the base to a piece of vellum and adhered all the missing pieces. Then I colored it with Distress inks and strinkled it with water and Perfect Pearls mist. I love purple but it's hard to use on cards, I think this time it was a great color to go with, though!
