Lawnscaping challenge #106: New technique

Happy Monday!!

Are you ready for a new Lawnscaping challenge? You're going to have fun with this one because we're challenging you to try a new technique!

I struggled a lot about how technique I was going to use because when I see something new that I'm interested on it, I usually try it asap so... what to do? I surfed a bit on the Internet and found this fun technique using watercolors and white pigment ink to create bokeh backgrounds. I love bokeh so I wanted to try it out!

Mine didn't turned as pretty as the one in the video but it's really pretty in person! I added some embossing paste with glitter and sequins for a magical festive background.

Celebrate

Then I die cut the Lawn Fawn balloons and sprayed with a glittery spray, then I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder to have a pair of glossy balloons :) The whole card ended up being very sparkly, glittery and glosy lol!!

Celebrate - detail

As you can see I used a new technique but also a bunch of old ones. Maybe you haven't tried any of these yet, so it's your chance to give them a try and win a price from our sponsor, Lawn Fawn!

Thank you so much for stopping by, have a nice day!!

I'm featuring a super cool set and coordinating dies, Balloons that is perfect por super quick Birthday cards or everyday colorful and happy cards, I loooove it! So I made 3 birthday cards with it, and that's perfect because I'm always needing more birthday cards :)

The first one is a quick one, I used the biggest ballons and instead of inking them, I applied the ink with a daubber so I could color them with more than one ink to create a gradient of color :)

For the second card I took the smallest ballons and created a card full of balloons, I stamped a birthday sentiment but I think I'll repeat this simply design for an everyday card with a sentiment like "you make me happy"

A closer look to the gold embossing sentiment

My third card is a shaker (yes! I couldn't resist making one!) so I used the dies for this one and tried to create a little boy birthday card going for greens and soft blues :)

Here's a closer look of the shakers:

I hope you like them and felt inspired to create some cards using balloons hehe! To continue hopping or if you want to start it from the beggining here's the complete list of participants:
