Lawnscaping challenge #44: New technique

Happy Monday!!
Hi! Today is the second Monday of the month so... It's time for another Lawnscaping challenge! All you must do to enter this challenge is try a new technique when you make your project, is that fun!

I won't lie you, I had a hard time with this challenge, lol! I tried some new techniques that ended like a total mess, even one of my jeans ended all inked, and It's pigment ink!! Ooooops!

Finally, I decided to try something less original and I inked an embossing folder for my card. I know this is not new for most of you but I've never tried it and I love it! I used Wet Cement ink and the embossed stripes look deeper and cool. :)
Also, I'm starting to learn how to crochet so I crocheted a chain using Lawn Trimmings and added to my card. I fun when you can mix your different hobbies ;)
I love the color combo in this card, it's based on the colors from the stripe of cloth from Amy Tangerine, I started adding colors and layers and this card came up with lots of dimension!

Well, enough blabling, I'd love if you join us in this challenge! It's sponsored by Lawn Fawn so you could win a stamp set of your choice! yum yum :)

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great week!

A new card and my weekend :)

Hi everyone!!
Today i have a cute card to share with you. I wanted to make this one for Inspiration Week last week but I run out of time so I finished it this weekend and here it is! I love the paper pieced watermelon pieces :)

I love this mini set so much! Those cute little ants are adorable!

Also I want to share my weekend with you :) I don't usually share personal stuff on my blog but it was a lot of fun and I need to share!!

As many of you know, I live in a small city in the North East of Spain. My city was founded by the Romans 2000 years ago and they coexisted peacefully with the existing residents in the area, the Celtics. So once in the year we have a celebration remembering them and this celebration was this past weekend. We have a wall all around the center of the city built by the Romans to protect the antique city and it's one of the actual World Wonders by Google (yes, I'm proud of it!! :P)

We usually dress like celtic or roman people, we decorate the streets and houses inside the wall and there are events with actors during all the weekend, , it's so much fun! So I wanted to share some pics! I forgot my camera at home so actually, only the last two pics are from this year, I took the others last year :)

I know it, this pic is horrible (it was taken at night with my phone :/) but I'm in LOVE with this gorgeous Pegasus :)

Also, I'm not a crazy soccer fan but, on Saturday, the Spain team won the match against the France team so we are classified for the Euro 2012 semifinals, woohoo! And on Sunday our city team ascended to a higher category, yay! it was a hard and super exciting match! It was played in the other team's city so we saw it on a big screen on the street and it was so fun! This is a phone pic after the victory :)

Well, sorry if you don't mind all this but I needed to share! Thank you very much for stopping by, I hope you have a great week!!
Hugs!!

Lawn Fawn June Inspiration Week - Belinda's Borders

Hi and welcome to another Lawn Fawn inspiration week!
First of all, sorry for not posting lately. I had some cards to share but I've been very bussy due to work and one of my dogs having surgery, he's happy and recovered now :)

But you're here to see what I've made with Belinda's Borders, right? ;) This set is one of those super versatile and must have sets. As soon as I received it, more ideas have been coming to my mind on how to use it!

So I made two cards :)
The first one is a happy card featuring the stamps of the set as background / stamped patterned paper makers. I used almost all the stamps on the sets (except the hearts one) to make a card that could be used to welcome a new neighbour, for example.

On the second card I used one of the stamps to make a frame (I drawed the inside square by hand with a white gel pen)

I hope you like what I came up with! For more inspiration please visit Lawn Fawn blog and the other DT member's blogs, they're amazing! :)
Hey, and don't forget to comment on the Lawn Fawn blog to win this set!

Up, up & away!

Hi everyone!
Ooops it seems that I've neglecting my blog for a while... sorry! It's because I had like 4 or 5 cards started that I was not able to finish! That's really annoying!

This curse was broken yesterday on my way home.. because I had a cool idea that I needed to try asap. So today I've made this card :)

I made the ballons using the circular lantern from Lawn Fawn Lunar Lights and hand drawn the baskets :) I tried to make this card simple to enter it in the current Lawnscaping challenge: CAS.

I'm always missing the YCU! challenge and that is making me mad so I won't miss this one! I've been careful to not use any coloring medium so I think this card is perfect too for their current challenge: Not coloring allowed. I hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week! Ugh... It's still Monday :/

- Lawn Fawn stamps: "Lunar Lights" and "Bon Voyage"
- Lawn Fawn papers and alpha stickers; "Bright Side"
- Lawn trimmings grey twine

Lawn Fawn April Inspiration Week - Handmade with Love

Fun continues today with a mini set: "Handmade with Love"!
This set is very cool for making tags for handmade gifts or simply stamping it on the back of your cards :)

Today I made a bag using the 12x12 "Smell the Roses" paper from the "Bright Side" collection. This paper is gorgeous! I wanted to use it dor something special and this is the perfect occasion.
Here it is, ready to be filled with a handmade gift :)

I took a bag, broke it and used it as a pattern to make mine. As 12x12 papers are double sided, the inside of my bag is coral and that's super cool! I really love it!

When I finished my bag I added a tag I made using 12x12 "Happy toughts" paper and a strip of the side B from the same paper, some Lawn Fawn yellow cord and a custom embellishment I made using a clothespin, a butterfly from "Flutter By" and washi tape. I hope you like it!

Don't forget to visit the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration from the other DT girls (they really rock!!) and comment for a chance to win ;)

- Lawn Fawn papers: "Bright Side"

Panda card

Hi! Weekend is almost here! :)
Today I'm sharing a simple card, it doesn't have an innovative sketch, a new or elaborated technique... BUT I have something cool and fun to show you: A Lawn Fawn Panda! :)

You know Lawn Fawn doesn't have a Panda stamp but you can find a cute Polar Bear in the "Critters in the Snow" set, and it's very easy to modify it to be a cute Panda! I've also used the little leaves from the log in the "Critters in the Forest" set as bamboo leaves.

I hope you like it and give it a try. If you have any questions, send me an email or leave me a comment.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Lawn Fawn March Inspiration Week - Flying by

Hello!
The fun continues today with another wonderful set! This time, we're featuring the mini set "Flying by". How cute are these little paper planes? I love them! They're great for all kind of cards and the handwritten sentiment is just adorable!

I made a very simple card to let the planes be the star of the show. Here is my card:

I used the amazing Lawn Fawn kraft paper as background and stamped the trees from "Critters in the Forest" on two different patterned papers from the Petite Paper Pad. Then I colored the planes with my copics to match the ribbon and background chevron, stamped the lines, the sentiment and I hand stitched the border and added a cute ribbon and button to finish it. i hope you like it! :)

Don't forget to visit Lawn Fawn blog to see all the inspiration projects and comment for a chance to win!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!
