Avery Elle April/May Release Blog Hop

Yay! Welcome to the Avery Elle April/May Release Blog Hop!

Finally all the new release is available on the Avery Elle store, and there are some awesome sets, I tell you!

The set I'm featuring today is called "Weather it" and it's a cool set with a big umbrella and great matching sentiments! And there's also coordinating dies! (I love that sets come with coordinating dies!)
So here's what I made:

I used a stencil with embossing paste, color mists and Stickles to create the rain of hearts, it looks amazing in person! Then I added some felt clouds and the umbrella stamped on patterned paper.

I made another card using watercolors but the colors in this one looks a bit weird and I could fix it grr!

Love the dimension your cards have! And both cards have great sentiments that are appropriate for so many situations. These both could be used for Operation Write Home and I'm always on the lookout for stamps that can be used for those cards. Thanks for sharing with us.

Great cards. the raining hearts are so pretty. I'm going to try that technique. the umbrella with the splashes of color is pretty - even if you are not happy with it. It depicts the blurring of colors due to the rain. thanks for sharing.
