Hello!
I have another card I made for Lawn Fawn inspiration week to share with you. This time I'm featuring the Mini Pop-up Butterflies die set.
This set has two kind of dies with the same shape, one of them cuts the entire butterfly and the other just the wings. I love the idea of the second one and I inmediately knew what I wanted to create.
I started by coloring a piece of watercolor paper with some bold watercolor hues, blending them together. Then I let them dry and applied another layer to create more texture.
While the second layer dried, I die cut a piece of cardstock using an outside in stitched rectangle, then I die cut the hello die in the middle and then I started die cutting butterflies all around the hello until I covered all the piece of cardstock. To adhere easily the little pieces of the hello word, I put a piece of acetate on the back of the word (I didn't covered the holes of the butterflies with acetate, just the word).
Finally, I adhered the piece of paper on top of the watercolor paper with 3D glue dots, to give it more dimension. I'm very happy with this card, it was fun and relaxing to make and it looks stunning, it's even better in person :)
I hope you feel inspired to try this idea, Kelly has a video on the Lawn Fawn blog showing you how to make it in case you have any doubts and there's a lot of projects from the DT featuring more products from this release, so don't forget to check it out!
Thank you so much for stopping by, have a nice day!
