This is my second post today, if you want to see the card I made using Critters on the Savanna for Lawn Fawn April Inspiration Week, just scroll down or click HERE. Thanks! :)
So it's Monday again and another happy Monday because it's Lawnscaping challenge time! Today we are challenging you to create a project inspired by a fellow crafter, a photo, a drawing... Whatever that inspired you, just share it with us in your post!
I made this card inspired by a photo I found on Pinterest. It's more like a CASE, I know :) But I just think that I need to use the cute cakes from Year Three this way!
The hard part for me was that it's a one layer card and I used a bunch of different sets, so it was a bit tricky but I love the final little scene!
Basically I followed the same technique of this video I made for Christmas tags, but I embossed the images instead of using white pigment ink. the fun part is that you can write the recipient's name with a chalk for a nice and personal touch :)
For reference, here's the photo I used from Pinterest, I couldn't ask for permission because the link is broken... If you are the author or know the author of the photo please, send me an e-mail and I'll fix it!
Then, the pop of color that catched my eyes on the Pinterest photo, I made little washi pom-poms, aren't they cute??
Here's a little tutorial on how I made them :)
- Take a piece of washi tape
- Fold it in half
- Cut fringes all along the piece
- Take a glue dot, roll the washi paper piece and stick on it
- Smash it with your finger, and there it is, a little wasi embellishment!
(Sorry for the quality, it's a pic made with the phone... But I hope it helps)
Hope you like my card and you feel inspired to join us!! I can't wait to see what you create! For more amazing inspiration, go and take a look at the Lawnscaping Challenges blog, this time we have two special guests, Jennifer McGuire and Kari Webster!!
