Hello!!
So, Lawn Fawn August inspiration week ended last Friday and I hope you enjoyed it! Now all the new Fall/Winter products are available for sale!
I'm going to do a little review of the projects I created for the inspiration week, you had probably seen all of them at the Lawn Fawn blog but I wanted to show them here too, sharing with you the techniques used and supply lists.
You can see my first project using the Pick of the Patch stamp set by clicking here.
Double Slider Surprise Dies
For my Double Slider Surprise dies project. I mixed some old and new projects to create this Winter scene with penguind having fun.
I colored all the images using my Copic markers and die cut them with their coordinating dies. Then I started creating the slider panel. I used Distress inks to color the background and then die cut the panel with the new Snowy Backdrops. So I used the Double Supripse Slider panel to cut out two blue panels with snow holes and two panels out of white cardstock (one of them for each side) and then I die cut the central panel out of white cardstock and anothe blue panel to adhere on top.
I adhered some snow hills using the Hillside Borders dies on top of the three panels and then I mounted the slider mechanism.
The banner was stamped using the Bannertastic stamp set and a sentiment from Snow Cool on a patterned paper from Really Rainbow Christmas, then I heat embossed them with white embossing powder.
The final step was adding all the penguins, the heat embossed banner and glue everything on top of a piece of grey woodgrain cardstock (I'm absolutely in love with these new woodgrain textured papers!!! <3)
Outside in Stitched Apple Stackables
As soon as I saw these dies I knew I wanted to use them to create treat boxes. And I wanted them to be easy to mass produce, just in case :)
So these are really easy to create because they are rectangles of cardstock with two fold lines of the width you need to make a base for your desired treat (mines were big cookies) and two holes on top on both sides to pass the twine through and tie your treat. That's the base.
Then I die cut a big apple out of one of the sides and adhered acetate on the back. To finish it off I just added the seeds, a leaf and a thanks die cut.
Finally, just place the treat inside and tie it with a pretty twine :) Easy, right?
I hope you like my projects, have a nice day!!
