10' Craft Dash Challenge #25

Hello!!
Today I'm joining the fun with the girls of 10' Craft Dash Challenge, Lawn Fawn is sponsoring it and the color combo is too lovely to not to play!!

I made this simple card and I like it, sometimes I find myself adding too much stuff to the cards and, you know, sometimes less is more :) I need to practice this!

I mixed 3 sets, the cute birdie is from Winter Sparrows, the sentiment is from Our Friendship Grows and the little heart is from Peace Joy Love. Then I used paper from Into the Woods, this collection fits perfectly this challenge, don't you think?? and some new Hot Cocoa twine.

The trees from this patterned paper aren't white so I was no happy once I stamped my banner on white cardstock, then I decided to go with my E41 (Pearl White) Copic over it without any care and... yeah! I like it! Sometimes rushing is great to come up with new ideas!

I almost forgot!! I finished it in 09:42 I didn't stress myself too much and I almost run out of time!

Go and check Paulina's blog for the challenge rules and amazing inspiration from the DT. Thanks for visiting my blog today, have a wonderful day!!

Pink Lemonade & Daphne's Closet - Lawn Fawn April Inspiration Week

Hola!
Another day of fun and inspiration with Lawn Fawn, yay! And another sunny day, this makes me happy!

Today we're featuring both the new paper collections, Pink Lemonade and Daphne's Closet. I made a card using scraps and I think this is a great idea for using them!

I cut a lot of stripes from both collections and arranged them trying to create some kind of ombre effect, then I glued all of them to a piece of cardstock leaving little spaces in between, and cut the excess of the borders.

Then I cut two jars from the 12x12 Pink Lemonade paper called Club Soda and stamped the word "smile" from the mini set Year Three with Pale Tomato ink, I love that this ink matches the collection perfectly!!
The embellishment on the top is a sticker from Pink Lemonade collection. I hope you like it!

Don't forget to visit the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration from the amazing girls of the DT, a video and a card from the sweet Kelly Marie and of course, a giveaway!!

Daphne's Closet - Lawn Fawn March Inspiration Week

Hi and happy Monday!!
Lawn Fawn Inspiration week continues today and we're featuring one of the new paper collections, Daphne's Closet. This is a fun collection where you can find sweet elements like flowers mixed with trendy elements like arrows or triangles so you can made a wide variety of different kind of projects with it!

I've been playing with the new Lawn cuts and made two cards using papers and stickers from Daphne's Closet.

For the first one, I used the hearts Lawn cuts (I LOVE these!!) on a white cardstock and on a mix of patterns, then fill the holes with the patterns and fold the sides of the white hearts and glue on the patterned ones. I think it looks pretty and you can use this design with different sentiments. I simply added a cute sticker from the collection :)

I went a bit crazy with the second one, hehe :) I used A Birdie Told Me Lawn Cuts and a mix of different papers and stickers to create this card.

Hope you like what I made for today! Thank you so much for stopping by and don't forget to come back tomorrow because the inspiration week continues for two days more! Also, take a look at the Lawn Fawn blog because Kelly Marie has a cool video waiting for you and my teammies have amazing projects featuring this cool collection!

Good Fortune - Lawn Fawn February Inspiration Week

Hello there!

Today is the last day of  February's Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week and today we are featuring Good Fortune. This one is a versatile set that could be used for a lot of different occassions, to prove it I made two cards today!

My first card is a love card, perfect for Valentine's day but also for all year round, it's good to say I love you frequently! ;) The card is pretty simple but I needed to share this clever idea that my boyfriend had, he said why you don't open the box? Could you do it? And he gave me this idea on how to do it. I was thinking a moment and I said, of course, that will work! haha so here it is! And it is super easy! Just stamp the top of the box several times and cut the small triangles, then mask the top of the box, stamp again, glue the little triangles around the top and voila! you have an opened box :) Hope you like the idea and give it a try :)

My second card is a Happy New Year card, I think it's not too late to celebrate it, we're in a new Lunar Year, the snake year so Happy New Year to all of you :)

And because it's about the Chinese New Year, I made my card very Oriental-themed using gold, red and black and I paired this new set with an old one, Lunar Lights, I love totally this lights, in real life and of course the cute stamp version.

The flowers stamped on the background are from Summertime Charm, they are perfect as blossoms!

It's an interactive card so if you pull the piece of paper you'll discover your fortune for this new year, ha! Hope you like it! :)

Pink Lemonade - Lawn Fawn February Inspiration Week

Hi everyone!
Every Monday would be happier if it's part of aLawn Fawn Inspiration Week, don't you think? Hee hee!

Today we're featuring one of the new paper lines, Pink Lemonade, and ohhh this one is a true favorite!! I love the happy, bright and summery colors on it and the patterns are fab!! The matching stickers and Lawn trimmings are amazing too so I needed to play with everything for my project :)

How? Well, I made different items for a Pink Lemonade party, cupcake wrappers and toppers, party favors and jars of pink lemonade with cute paper straws. I wish my photograph skills and equipment were better so I could make everything look prettier. I don't a have a big place to take pics so I had to take the pic of each item individually.

Anyway it was so fun to make and, while I'm typeing in my pc... yes! I'm drinking some lemonade and tasting a cupcake (the home made swiss meringue buttercream is so yummy!!... just saying hahaha) ;)

Hope you like and feel inspired! If you have a little party on the corner and you want to surprise your guests... this is really easy to make! And if you have any questions on how I made something, just ask in the comments or send me an email, I love emails :)

Lawn Fawn February Inspiration Week - Summertime Charm

Hi! Happy Sunday!!

If you've visited Lawn Fawn's blog yesterday you may already know that there's an Inspiration Week going on ;) If not, visit it and comment there for some chances to win the super big pack of goodies!

So, all the DT members are making samples with the new sets to inspire you and maybe give you some new ways to use them! Today, we're featuring Summertime Charm, a totally new favorite! I've been waiting a long time for a set with a mason jar and I LOVE it! I have tons of ideas on how to use it but today I paired it with an old set, Flutter By, to make this summer car, I hope you like it!

For the jar, I first stamped (and embossed with cherry scented embossing powder, yum yumm!) it on vellum, then I placed the butterfly and then another jar stamped on an acetate sheet. This way it shines as a real one and it looks like the butterfly is inside it :) Also, the vellum helps to enhance the butterfly over the background. Here's a close up

Lawn Fawn Valentine's Week

Hi friends!
Because there are only a few days left before Valentine's day, all the DT at Lawn Fawn were making projects these last days to inspire you to use the cute Lawn Fawn stamps to make your cards. I love to use Lawn Fawn stamps to say I love you in some different ways, they are so cute and adorable that I think they're perfect to transmit that sweet sentiment :)

This time, my card is a bit "think out of the box", I had this idea a long time ago so last week I had some free time and enjoyed a great time playing with my stamps :) As you can see, I've used a lot of sets!!:

   - All the hearts are from Bee Mine. except the background on the circle, that is made with Belinda's Borders and the same stamp using the back side.

   - The background is from Interlocking Backgrounds, the turquoise stripe is stamped with an arrow included in an exclusive set made for Studio Calico called This Way to Fun, but you could get a similar look with the new background set ;) The ponk stripe is made with I've got Mail.

   - The ghosts souls are from Happy Haunting (mirror stamping technique) and the sentiment is stamped with a part of "you are my sunshine" from Sunny Skies and Jessie's ABCs.
Sooo I think it's a total of 8 sets, haha!!

I wanted to use the Fourteen collection from Crate Paper to make this card but when I found it in stock (thanks Gisel!) I realized it won't arrive in time so I played with my stamps and cardstock with the collection's color palette in mind (well... more or less...). I hope you like it!!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Please, don't forget to visit Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration!! :)
Oh! And you still have time to enter my giveaway HERE!

Lawnscaping challenge #44: New technique

Happy Monday!!
Hi! Today is the second Monday of the month so... It's time for another Lawnscaping challenge! All you must do to enter this challenge is try a new technique when you make your project, is that fun!

I won't lie you, I had a hard time with this challenge, lol! I tried some new techniques that ended like a total mess, even one of my jeans ended all inked, and It's pigment ink!! Ooooops!

Finally, I decided to try something less original and I inked an embossing folder for my card. I know this is not new for most of you but I've never tried it and I love it! I used Wet Cement ink and the embossed stripes look deeper and cool. :)
Also, I'm starting to learn how to crochet so I crocheted a chain using Lawn Trimmings and added to my card. I fun when you can mix your different hobbies ;)
I love the color combo in this card, it's based on the colors from the stripe of cloth from Amy Tangerine, I started adding colors and layers and this card came up with lots of dimension!

Hi again!
So the fun continues today with the Lawn Fawn inspiration week and a new paper collection, Fa-La-La. This is a great Christmas collection and one of the things I love from it is that you can make a project with traditional Christmas colors or choose different papers and make something totally different, yes, I'm talking about that cute soft yellow in the collection :)

I've been playing with all theese papers and stickers and I made some Christmas treat bags, it's fun, easy and quick and there are so many possibilities!

Here's a little idea: stick a number on each one and you will have a cute Advent calendar ;) I thought of this idea too late to make 24 (or 25) treat bags but I wanted to share it anyways. I think they would look super cute hanging with clothespines between other Christmas decorations.

Welcome again!
Today is the last day of the Lawn Fawn inspiraion week, tomorrow the giveaways winners will be revealed so you have still time to comment on the Lawn Fawn blog for a lot of chances to win!

The DT girls are featuring a cool 4x6 set this time, "Check this out". This is a perfect set to go with the paper line, Dewey Decimal and it's all about books and the library, I love it!

So as we are still in Summer, I used Dewey Decimal in a more summery way, combining the aqua and teal with lime cardstock to make a card with surprise ;)
I wanted to make a bookmark and I tought it would be great to give someone a card with a book that include a bookmark and here is what I came up with!

The bookmark is "hidden" in the card, and its visible part is actually the back of the bookmark. You can easily remove the bookmark from the card to use it.

For the front side, I used a paper from Dewey Decimal as background and stamped different images from different Lawn Fawn sets. I wanted to alluding to all the different stories you could find in a book. I really hope you like it! :)

For the back side, I stamped the background of the bookmark with the book in the set, and added "this book belongs to" to customize it with the person's name.

Don't forget to visit the Lawn Fawn blog for more wonderful inspiration projects and comment there for a chance to win!

A new card and my weekend :)

Hi everyone!!
Today i have a cute card to share with you. I wanted to make this one for Inspiration Week last week but I run out of time so I finished it this weekend and here it is! I love the paper pieced watermelon pieces :)

I love this mini set so much! Those cute little ants are adorable!

Also I want to share my weekend with you :) I don't usually share personal stuff on my blog but it was a lot of fun and I need to share!!

As many of you know, I live in a small city in the North East of Spain. My city was founded by the Romans 2000 years ago and they coexisted peacefully with the existing residents in the area, the Celtics. So once in the year we have a celebration remembering them and this celebration was this past weekend. We have a wall all around the center of the city built by the Romans to protect the antique city and it's one of the actual World Wonders by Google (yes, I'm proud of it!! :P)

We usually dress like celtic or roman people, we decorate the streets and houses inside the wall and there are events with actors during all the weekend, , it's so much fun! So I wanted to share some pics! I forgot my camera at home so actually, only the last two pics are from this year, I took the others last year :)

I know it, this pic is horrible (it was taken at night with my phone :/) but I'm in LOVE with this gorgeous Pegasus :)

Also, I'm not a crazy soccer fan but, on Saturday, the Spain team won the match against the France team so we are classified for the Euro 2012 semifinals, woohoo! And on Sunday our city team ascended to a higher category, yay! it was a hard and super exciting match! It was played in the other team's city so we saw it on a big screen on the street and it was so fun! This is a phone pic after the victory :)

Well, sorry if you don't mind all this but I needed to share! Thank you very much for stopping by, I hope you have a great week!!
Hugs!!

Up, up & away!

Hi everyone!
Ooops it seems that I've neglecting my blog for a while... sorry! It's because I had like 4 or 5 cards started that I was not able to finish! That's really annoying!

This curse was broken yesterday on my way home.. because I had a cool idea that I needed to try asap. So today I've made this card :)

I made the ballons using the circular lantern from Lawn Fawn Lunar Lights and hand drawn the baskets :) I tried to make this card simple to enter it in the current Lawnscaping challenge: CAS.

I'm always missing the YCU! challenge and that is making me mad so I won't miss this one! I've been careful to not use any coloring medium so I think this card is perfect too for their current challenge: Not coloring allowed. I hope you like it!
