Lawnscaping challenge #47 - Color

Happy Monday!
You know what happens on second Mondays: a new Lawnscaping challenge! And today we have a fun one about color, you can only use red turquoise and red on your card. Of course, neutrals like black and white are ok :)

So I wanted to use Ornate Ornaments for this challenge, it's a lovely Christmas set that I hadn't used yet this year and here's what I made, a super sparkly Christmas card, I hope you like it!

First I stamped Magical Background on kraft and stamped and colored with copics my little ornaments on white, I added some stickles to my ornaments and more making a frame for the background. Some fussy cutting, glue and some touches with May Arts ribbon, baker's twine and copic colored pearls and it's done! I couldn't capture all the sparkle on the photo, but it's very pretty in person, here's a close look:

I LOVE this color combo and it's perfect for Christmas cards so I hope you join us this time! Our fabulous sponsor this time is my favorite online store, Simon Says Stamp! You can win a $25 coupon to spend on the store :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day :)

Starry Summer night

Hello! :)
Today I want to share the card I've been working on lately. I had this idea long time ago and I didn't find the time to work on it until now. When I saw that the current Lawnscaping challenge theme was dimension I decided that I'd join it with this card :)

I had a lot of fun adding dimension to this card, cuting and poping the different elements at different heights to create a impression of depth in the scene. I hand draw the marshmallow and the stick is a piece of tree from the "Critters Down Under" set. The moon is from "Sunny Skies" and there's a how to here. I draw the little stars with a white gel pen.

Here's a closer pic so you can see better the dimension

I hope you like it, I'm happy with the final result. I know it's a bit dark but it reminds me the awesome warm and starry Summer nights and fills my heart with peace and happiness :)

I missed the lasts Lawnscaping challenges and that makes me sad so I'm very happy to come back! If you have the chance, join the current challenge and take a look at the blog, there are tons of awesome projects to inspire you!

A new card and my weekend :)

Hi everyone!!
Today i have a cute card to share with you. I wanted to make this one for Inspiration Week last week but I run out of time so I finished it this weekend and here it is! I love the paper pieced watermelon pieces :)

I love this mini set so much! Those cute little ants are adorable!

Also I want to share my weekend with you :) I don't usually share personal stuff on my blog but it was a lot of fun and I need to share!!

As many of you know, I live in a small city in the North East of Spain. My city was founded by the Romans 2000 years ago and they coexisted peacefully with the existing residents in the area, the Celtics. So once in the year we have a celebration remembering them and this celebration was this past weekend. We have a wall all around the center of the city built by the Romans to protect the antique city and it's one of the actual World Wonders by Google (yes, I'm proud of it!! :P)

We usually dress like celtic or roman people, we decorate the streets and houses inside the wall and there are events with actors during all the weekend, , it's so much fun! So I wanted to share some pics! I forgot my camera at home so actually, only the last two pics are from this year, I took the others last year :)

I know it, this pic is horrible (it was taken at night with my phone :/) but I'm in LOVE with this gorgeous Pegasus :)

Also, I'm not a crazy soccer fan but, on Saturday, the Spain team won the match against the France team so we are classified for the Euro 2012 semifinals, woohoo! And on Sunday our city team ascended to a higher category, yay! it was a hard and super exciting match! It was played in the other team's city so we saw it on a big screen on the street and it was so fun! This is a phone pic after the victory :)

Well, sorry if you don't mind all this but I needed to share! Thank you very much for stopping by, I hope you have a great week!!
Hugs!!
