Lawnscaping challenge #102: Distress

Hola!
A new Lawnscaping challenge starts today and I know you will love it! It's all about distress, distress techniques or products so let's fly your imagination!

I used Distress inks and  markers with water and a brush to create this watercolored look on my card. I combined several sets, some new stuff with some old stuff, I love doing this :)

I really enjoyed making this card, first masking and stamping and then coloring like a little girl. Also, it reminds me of a Summer evening and that makes me happy!
I also added glossy accents on the fireflies for a bit of shine :)

CHA Sneak Week - Trick or Treat and Yeti, Set, Go

Hi, hi!!
Lawn Fawn CHA Sneak Week continues and today I have more cards using the new stuff to share with you!!

The first one is featuring a super cute set called Yeti, Set, Go,  I love that happy Yeti! And the sentiments are simply adorable :)

The second one is an interactive card, you know how I love them!! If you move the star on top of the card, you can change the jar between treat (full of candy) or trick (the spiders ate all your candy, ha!)
I've never made this kind of interactive card before and it took me a lot of time to finish it. Why? Because jars are clear... so I had to match the background of "both optional jars" with the background of the card.

Anyway, I love Halloween cards, I love those bold colors and all Halloween related. So, of course, I'm a fan of this new mini called Trick or Treat, I love the fun type of the sentiment and what about those candy corn?? I've been waiting for Lawn Fawn candy corn and now, I have it, and it's CUTE!

I hope you feel inspired by my cards, they traveled to the USA some time ago and they will be exposed at CHA, so I'll be there in spirit, at least ;)

Good Fortune - Lawn Fawn February Inspiration Week

Hello there!

Today is the last day of  February's Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week and today we are featuring Good Fortune. This one is a versatile set that could be used for a lot of different occassions, to prove it I made two cards today!

My first card is a love card, perfect for Valentine's day but also for all year round, it's good to say I love you frequently! ;) The card is pretty simple but I needed to share this clever idea that my boyfriend had, he said why you don't open the box? Could you do it? And he gave me this idea on how to do it. I was thinking a moment and I said, of course, that will work! haha so here it is! And it is super easy! Just stamp the top of the box several times and cut the small triangles, then mask the top of the box, stamp again, glue the little triangles around the top and voila! you have an opened box :) Hope you like the idea and give it a try :)

My second card is a Happy New Year card, I think it's not too late to celebrate it, we're in a new Lunar Year, the snake year so Happy New Year to all of you :)

And because it's about the Chinese New Year, I made my card very Oriental-themed using gold, red and black and I paired this new set with an old one, Lunar Lights, I love totally this lights, in real life and of course the cute stamp version.

The flowers stamped on the background are from Summertime Charm, they are perfect as blossoms!

It's an interactive card so if you pull the piece of paper you'll discover your fortune for this new year, ha! Hope you like it! :)

Lawn Fawn February Inspiration Week - Summertime Charm

Hi! Happy Sunday!!

If you've visited Lawn Fawn's blog yesterday you may already know that there's an Inspiration Week going on ;) If not, visit it and comment there for some chances to win the super big pack of goodies!

So, all the DT members are making samples with the new sets to inspire you and maybe give you some new ways to use them! Today, we're featuring Summertime Charm, a totally new favorite! I've been waiting a long time for a set with a mason jar and I LOVE it! I have tons of ideas on how to use it but today I paired it with an old set, Flutter By, to make this summer car, I hope you like it!

For the jar, I first stamped (and embossed with cherry scented embossing powder, yum yumm!) it on vellum, then I placed the butterfly and then another jar stamped on an acetate sheet. This way it shines as a real one and it looks like the butterfly is inside it :) Also, the vellum helps to enhance the butterfly over the background. Here's a close up

Don't forget to visit the Lawn Fawn blog for some inspiration by the other DT members and an amazing video from Kelly Marie (this has been always one of my favorite things from Inspiration Weeks!)
