My Lucky Charm - LF March inspiration week

Hello!!

It's the end of Lawn Fawn March inspiration week  but we will be back on April with another one and April is just artound the corner ;)

The star of the shw today is My Lucky Charm, a stamp set with all kinds of lucky charms with their coordinating dies :)

For my first project I made a tag using Maneki Neko (the lucky cat) and I tried a classic Japanese look with the distressed edges, the speckled cardstock and the cat stamped on it with just a bit of coloring. Well, I don't know if I achieved that look or not, but that was my inspiration :)

MyLuckyCharm_CristinaNuñez1

As a finishing touch I added some twine and a pair of jingle bells, that I thought match the cat theme nicely. I hope you like it!

My second project is a bright card with a background full of lucky charms (and some friendly chicks hee hee) and just a circle with an old sentiment that I find perfect for this new set.

Lucky

I added a vellum circle behind the sentiment circle to soften the busy background around the sentiment.

Lucky - close

Crafty Friendship Blog Hop!

Hola!!
Today I'm celebrating crafty friendship with a group of crafty friends with an amazing blog hop

If you're hopping from the sweet and talented Francesca, you're on the right place. If not, and you want to start from the beggining, go to Heidi's blog :)

Esther Rovira from Arcadia de Papel Blog is the special Honoree of this year's blog hop, because her support to many blogs, in Spain, USA, and some other places in the world.
Also we chose this date because is her blog's anniversary!
And she happens to choose me as the special guest for the blog hop!! I can't tell you how happy and honored it makes me feel :)
Esther is spanish like me and she's very supportive and nice. She always put a smile on my face with her comments.

I want to dedicate this post to all my blog followers, all who take the time to leave those comments that always brighten my day and to all that don't comment but are also there. I'm so thankful for you, for your time and your kind words, for having me in your life.
I don't leave comments as frequently as I would like to do so I really appreciate the people that give their time as gifts supporting others with their comments and love. When Heidi sent me the list of participants in the blog hop I said: Gosh! I already know almost all these girls! And I know them because of their comments on my blog ot flickr and I tell you, I love all of them. They're super talented, sweet and supportive :)

How amazing is this crafty world, it's full of incredible people and I made a lot of friends from all around the world, people that I would never know if Internet would not exist.

So I'm totally in celebrarting crafty friendship, I already have my party hat on! Let's go, here's my card :)

I wanted to keep the card simple with a lot of wite space and a big pop of color. I just love that sentiment, it's from an old set but the font is super pretty, don't you think?
I stamped all the background with soft grey trees and colored the sky only inside the frame.

Friends Forever

I removed the ink from the faces of these two furry friends so they look as you were seeing them from the back. So they are enjoying each other while looking to the horizont into the woods... It's also like a "you color my world" reference :) Yes, I'm loosing my mind lol

Friends Forever - detail

Anyway, I hope you like it!

I made a card combining several Lawn Fawn sets and I used Xyron products to adhere everything. I used the Sticker Maker to make sticker clouds and a sticker caravan. Then I used the Tape Runner to adhere the grass and Glue Stick for the paper bow that I cut with my Silhouette.

Sharp Backdrops - Lawn Fawn MArch Inspiration Week

Hello and welcome to the last post of the Lawn Fawn March Inspiration Week! Today we're showcasing the newest stamp of the backdrops line, it's a super trendy set of stamps to make bachgrounds with arrows and triangles: Sharp Backdrops

And here's what I made using it! I incorporated all the three patterns in different ways, I used one of the triangles as a background, the other one for the heart embellishment, and I cut one sinlge arrow from the other stamp to create another embellishment.

The sentiment is from Hello Friend and I embossed it in white and then stamped a bit off to make it pop. I hope you like it!

Lawnscaping challenge #44: New technique

Happy Monday!!
Hi! Today is the second Monday of the month so... It's time for another Lawnscaping challenge! All you must do to enter this challenge is try a new technique when you make your project, is that fun!

I won't lie you, I had a hard time with this challenge, lol! I tried some new techniques that ended like a total mess, even one of my jeans ended all inked, and It's pigment ink!! Ooooops!

Finally, I decided to try something less original and I inked an embossing folder for my card. I know this is not new for most of you but I've never tried it and I love it! I used Wet Cement ink and the embossed stripes look deeper and cool. :)
Also, I'm starting to learn how to crochet so I crocheted a chain using Lawn Trimmings and added to my card. I fun when you can mix your different hobbies ;)
I love the color combo in this card, it's based on the colors from the stripe of cloth from Amy Tangerine, I started adding colors and layers and this card came up with lots of dimension!

Well, enough blabling, I'd love if you join us in this challenge! It's sponsored by Lawn Fawn so you could win a stamp set of your choice! yum yum :)

Sending smiles...

Hi! I hope you're having a great week! Tomorrow is Friday, yay!

Today I'm sharing a card and some great news, Lawn Fawn is going to be exhibiting at the Summer CHA tradeshow for the first time. They are realeasing 2 new paper lines and 10 new stamp sets and TODAY they're revealing 5 of the new stamp sets!

The new sets are amazing and the best part is that they have a giveaway on the Lawn Fawn blog so go visit the blog and comment for a chance to win one of the sets, I'm really excited about this new release, I'm totally in love with all the new stuff and I'm sure that you'll love it all too :)

As I can't travel to CHA and share all the excitement, meet amazing people and so on, all I can do is wishing a great and safe trip to the people who will visit CHA and sending some smiles across the miles... :)
Oh! I'm very jealous LOL

I stamped the sentiment from Hello Friend after removing the ink from the little plane, then I created a strip of planes masking the sentiment and stamping the little plane several times on a strip of paper with Versamark ink and heat embossing them. Then, I colored the strip of paper with Distress ink :)

Thanks for stopping by! Big big hugs :)

Hi again!! :)
So today is the last day of Lawn Fawn May Inspiration week, tomorrow all sets will be revealed but today we are featuring a super popular and demanded set... yes! Critters Down Under is here! :) And it's full of adorable stamps!

I made two shaped cards with this set, each one with a different style:

This one is like a child's drawing, it's made only with color cardstock and ink, no coloring. Well, that's something I wanted to try so this is like a little experiment hehe

For the second one I did some copic coloring and I made a window card. I love that super cute koala and coloring the kookaburra was just fun!! :)

Don't forget to visit the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration and comment on it for a chance to win this great stamp set! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Panda card

Hi! Weekend is almost here! :)
Today I'm sharing a simple card, it doesn't have an innovative sketch, a new or elaborated technique... BUT I have something cool and fun to show you: A Lawn Fawn Panda! :)

You know Lawn Fawn doesn't have a Panda stamp but you can find a cute Polar Bear in the "Critters in the Snow" set, and it's very easy to modify it to be a cute Panda! I've also used the little leaves from the log in the "Critters in the Forest" set as bamboo leaves.

I hope you like it and give it a try. If you have any questions, send me an email or leave me a comment.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
