Lawnscaping Challenge #98: Background

Hello, happy Monday!!

After missing the last Lawnscaping challenge, I wanted to make a card that fitted both, the last and current challenges, just because I love winter-themed cards :)

So welcome to another Lawnscaping challenge, this one's theme is a very cool one, "Create your own background with stamps" I went simple but there are a ton of amazing possibilities so let your imagination fly and join us! I love seeing your inspiring projects in the gallery! :D

I used a bunch of different stamps to create a wintery scene as the focal point for my card and stamped wintery elements for the background. I chose a pastel palette for a soft and comfy look, I don't use this colors a lot but I love them and it's like a challenge not to go with bright colors always haha. I hope you like it!

Happy Winter

I also added some sparkle with pink Stickles on the heart and wink of stella all over the igloo, of course, you couldn't see it in the picture because I'm not able to photograph it (yes, I'm desesperated lol).

Check the Lawnscaping blog to see the amazing cards that my DT buddys made, and don't forget that if you join us, you could win a great prize from our sponsor, Lawn Fawn!

Thank you so much for stopping by, hugs!!

Lawn Fawn and Imagine Crafts are teaming up and projects from the DT have been shown during all this week, you don't want to miss this, just telling!

Today is my turn and I've been having so much fun using the amazing products that Imagine Crafts sent to us. If you're a follower of my blog you know I've always been a fan of their products, Memento, Versamark, Versafine... are my inks to go so I don't need to tell you how much I love their inks haha.

And now, onto my project!
I used a ton of their products here, you have the whole list below :)

Season's Greetings

In the package they included some new (for me) products: This was my first time using Memento Luxe, sincerely I thought that with regular Memento was enough for me but Luxe stamps amazingly, the impressions are so even and crispy!!
Also the mists and pico embellishers... they're gorgeous!! I used a sparkly clear mist on the sky and the pico embellisher in white to create the snowflakes. Sorry, I sound like an advertisment LOL it's because I'm excited with my new toys :) thanks people of Imagine Crafts for your generosity!!

Sorry for the quality of this pic, I tried to photograph the amazing sparkle of the sky but I was not able to take a great pic.

Winter in the Park - Lawn Fawn October Inspiration Week

Hi again!
Welcome to another post of the Lawn Fawn October Inspiration Week! Today the star of the show is Winter in the Park, a super pretty 3x4" set perfect for Winter/Christmas scenes but also for all-year park scenes!
Of course, I wanted to use it to make a winter-y scene :) It looks so peaceful... I love it!

I made a card with a panel that you can open pulling on the snowflake tab to see the background and sentiment.
I'm not going to lie, this card was hard to make, this one was my unique attempt but I made some mistakes, I'm always afraid when all the scene is masking and stamping, it's easier to place everything when you have cutout images!

And if you open it...

I also used glossy accents, stickles and embossing powder but it's hard to see it in the photos but here's a closer look:

Hope you like it, it's a lovely set, isn't it? I needed to add a pair of red birds from Making Frosty Friends that really pop on the card :)

Don't forget to visit the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration from the other DT members, a video from Kelly and a giveaway!
Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs!

A very fawny holiday - Stamp on a candle

Hi!
This week Lawn Fawn is celebrating a special holiday inspiration week full of fun stuff: projects using all their Christmas stamps and papers, videos, giveaways... Sounds great, right? ;)

Today I'm joining the celebrations with a video showing how to stamp on a candle. Well, when you see the video you will notice that you don't stamp on the candle but, ok, the stamped image its on the candle in the end :P

Please, visit Lawn Fawn blog to take a look on my video! I hope you enjoy it and you try the technique, it's pretty easy and it makes a perfect gift for Christmas :)

Tip: If you want to work with colored candles, make sure you use a candle completely made of that color. I've realized that there are a lot of colored candles that only have a bath of color. I only stamped on two colored candles: The red one on the video and the green one using And a Partidge for the Inspiration Week so I don't have a lot of experience but I've learned that the final result is better when the candle is completely colored, the one in the video has a bath of red, but is white in its core, you can see it on the bottom of the candle.

About if you can burn the candle... I found on the Internet that the answer is yes! BUT I'm testing it, I will share my inquiries with you soon ;) Anyway, never leave a burning candle unattended!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!

Lawn Fawn October Inspiration Week - Winter Owl

Hi!!
It's my favorite time of the month again!! Lawn Fawn inspiration week starts today with lots of inspiration and giveaways, as always! ;)

Today we are featuring one of my favorite sets, Winter Owl. I think I'm addicted to the winter critters series, I totally love them and this new addiction couldn't be any cuter!

For my project I made a slider mini card and beacuse it's very small, it can be used as a cute Christmas tag too. I've been playing with this slider cards and I must say they're pretty awesome!! It's not very easy to see on a photo but If you pull of the ribbon, both sides inside the card, up and bottom, appear so you can see the sentiment. I'll definitely make a video tutorial to show you how this is made :)

This is how the card looks closed:

If you pull of the ribbon, the card opens:

And this is how the card looks all opened:
